Ramiro Valdes Jara
PhD student in Industrial & Systems Engineering, University of Miami
I am currently a second year PhD student in the Intelligent Complex Systems Laboratory (ICS Lab), where I am lucky to be advised by Dr. Adam Meyers. Before starting my PhD, I earned a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M).
My research focuses on multivariate time series analysis and the development of machine learning models for data-driven modeling and prediction. On top of my research, with my interest on the financial sector, I also bring one year of industry experience, including a role as a Full-Stack Developer at Indexa Capital Group.
Always curious and open to collaboration, I love working on challenging problems that connect machine learning with real-world applications.
🌍 Outside tech, I am usually organizing the next trip, or on a court. I love playing tennis and padel, connecting with new people and chasing ideas that widen my horizons.
